Thanks for your continued support. With a few orders here and there I couldn't be happier.
The cosmetic bag has been a mainstay for over 2 years. With its snappy clutch-like opening it's a must have on your vanity
or in your travel bag. Some of you will notice that I have taken the messenger bags, carry-ons, and backpacks off-line. I have found that people like to customize these bags. And so I have sat with many clients discussing fabric and colors over tea or by phone to create a unique bag to fit their unique self. Last summer I even made some bridesmaid bags. What a treat. I am happy to extend this service to you as well. Just email me and we can start exploring all design possibilities.
I have a few new items up my sleeve for the middle of spring. Let's just say I have my children doing a little durability testing before I release it to the public. Once again thanks for you contiued support. Tell a freind. Write. And most of all enjoy yourself. ---------------------------

04.19.06 Trunk Show/Fundraiser for Weavers of Vashon's Sister City
Handbags, cosmetic bags, and soy candles by Hedy
and organic fair-trade fashions by Green Heiress (greenheiress.com) will be featured at a trunk show/fundraiser for the weavers of
Vashon's Sister City, Santiago Atitlan on May 19 at 7pm.
HedyHandbags and Green Heiress will donate 20% of all sales to the fundraiser. Chantel Thurman will provide a hands-on weaving demonstration, and guests will be able to try the traditional backstrap weaving that is still practiced today in our sister city. Panels woven and embroidered by the women of Santiago Atitlan will also be available to view or purchase. ---------------------------
03.24.06 NEWS: THANKS VASHON, WA!
The recent HedyHandbags/Trunk Show Fundraiser for the VMPC Scholarship Fund was great by any
measure. Hedy personally introduced her Spring '06 line of bags including Carry-Ons, Messengers,
Backpacks, Cosmetic Bags and more. Hedy travel candles were given to all guests in thanks for
attending. Steven McClure, owner of the Vashon Wine Shop, generously donated an evening of wine
tasting where every guest enjoyed his choice wine picks. A big thanks to Stephen and also to
Jaculin Dougher, VMCP's Co-Fundraiser Chairperson, who promoted the event and provided snacks.
HedyHandbags is proud to donate 20% of all sales from the event to the VMCP Scholarship Fund.
